A Helpdesk Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users who are experiencing technical difficulties with computer systems, software, or hardware.
- Responding to incoming support requests from end-users via phone, email, or in-person and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software systems.
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
- Providing training to end-users on how to use hardware and software applications.
- Managing and maintaining the company’s computer systems, including servers and network infrastructure.
- Documenting support incidents and creating knowledge base articles to aid in future support requests.
- Collaborating with other IT teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of new technologies and trends in the field of IT support.
- Assisting with the implementation of IT projects.
- Providing excellent customer service to end-users.
- Knowledge with HyperV or VMware must
- Knoledge with any of the firewall or router like Fortinet, sonicwall, Sophos or watchgaurd an added advantage
A Helpdesk Support Engineer must have excellent communication skills, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. A degree in computer science or a related field is typically required, along with relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
