- Senior Database administrator responsibilities include the complete ownership of inward and outward data in the system either on premise or cloud native/hybrid.
- Influence organic data needs or enhancements in existing platform for existing.
- Oversee all aspects of multiple projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress.
- Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of data projects and aligned verticals.
- Driving digital transformation initiatives.
Job Requirements Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field from a Tier 1 University.
- Minimum of 12 years of professional experience as a Database Administrator.
- Expertise in managing SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Wide exposure to various database technologies and platforms
- Proficiency in cloud database management (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Strong knowledge of data warehouse, data lake, and data mesh concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Exceptional SQL and database query optimization skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator, AWS Certified Database – Specialty) would be a plus.
- Knowledge of JIRA for managing task/project.
- Good to have background in Aviation or a tech product company.
- Comfortable working cordially with varied business users, internal IT team and 3rd party vendors.
