Job Purpose

  • Senior Database administrator responsibilities include the complete ownership of inward and outward data in the system either on premise or cloud native/hybrid.
  • Influence organic data needs or enhancements in existing platform for existing.
  • Oversee all aspects of multiple projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress.
  • Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of data projects and aligned verticals.
  • Driving digital transformation initiatives.

Job Requirements Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field from a Tier 1 University.
  • Minimum of 12 years of professional experience as a Database Administrator.
  • Expertise in managing SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Wide exposure to various database technologies and platforms
  • Proficiency in cloud database management (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Strong knowledge of data warehouse, data lake, and data mesh concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Exceptional SQL and database query optimization skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator, AWS Certified Database – Specialty) would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of JIRA for managing task/project.
  • Good to have background in Aviation or a tech product company.
  • Comfortable working cordially with varied business users, internal IT team and 3rd party vendors.
