Job Description
This early-stage startup in Ahmedabad has a global delivery center and a small team of 50 people; they work with startups and Fortune 500 companies. A solid team of former Samsung and Google employees backs the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Building up environments independently to test assigned work.
- Strong understanding of the SDLC process including requirements
- gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Executing manual and automation tests.
- Solid knowledge of QA techniques such as test case creation, testing
- methodologies, and defect management processes.
- Reporting the result.
- Create accurate, thoughtful and comprehensive defect reports.
- Investigate customer problems.
- Engage and participate in an Agile team of software developers.
- Apply independence and creativity to problem-solving across project assignments.
- Demonstrate expertise and add valuable input throughout the development lifecycle
- Strive to deploy all products and updates on time
- Remain up to date on all current best practices, trends, and industry developments
- Maintain a high standard of work quality and encourage others to do the same
- Help junior team members grow and develop their skills
- Identify potential challenges and bottlenecks to address them proactively
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in IT, preferably in a corporate setting and experience leading and managing the teams in testing commercial applications.
- Demonstrated understanding of QA methodologies.
- Experience working with SQL and understanding of relational databases
- Must have test experience on Linux and UNIX environments.
- Must have experience and knowledge of JavaScript.
- Must have experience in test Automation frameworks like Selenium , Cypress.
- Knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java is an added advantage
- Experience is testing SaaS based cloud applications hosted at Amazon AWS.
- Experience creating test strategies that ensure comprehensive, pragmatic, and scalable testing approaches.
- Experience designing and debugging tests that measure performance and functionality under scale and load.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non technical audiences.
- Familiarity with Agile, continuous integration products like Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines a plus
