Job description
We are seeking a talented and experienced VoIP Engineer to join our team and manage the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our VoIP infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Fusion PBX, Asterisk, and A2billing, and be able to troubleshoot and resolve complex VoIP issues. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of our communication systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain VoIP systems using Fusion PBX, Asterisk, and A2billing.
- Configure and manage VoIP trunks, extensions, and user accounts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve VoIP call quality issues, dropped calls, and other network problems.
- Implement and maintain secure VoIP infrastructure, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Develop and implement VoIP automation scripts to improve efficiency.
- Monitor VoIP performance metrics and generate reports.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest VoIP technologies and trends.
- Collaborate with other IT and telecommunications teams to ensure seamless integration of VoIP systems.
- Provide technical support to users on VoIP-related issues.
- Document system configurations and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a VoIP Engineer or similar role.
- Proven expertise in Fusion PBX, Asterisk, and A2billing.
- Strong understanding of VoIP protocols and technologies (SIP, RTP, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
