Job description & requirements

Responsibilities

  1. Analyze an organization and design its processes and systems, assessing the business model and its integration with technology.
  2. Assess current state, identify customer requirements, and define the future state and/or business solution.
  3. Facilitate solution sessions with customers, bringing insurance acumen and software
  4. subject matter expertise.
  5. Collaborate with customers in a consultative capacity to elicit, analyze and document business requirements, including documenting workflows, specifications, use cases, etc.
  6. Clearly understand, conceptualize, document, and execute project plans and manage document repositories for customers.
  7. Identify task level breakdown and estimate overall level of effort.
  8. Independently complete design and configuration activities (e.g., rating algorithms, forms, business rules) within the platform.
  9. Functionally test the application prior to release, validating requirements are appropriately addressed.
  10. Deliver end-user training, including creation of training documentation.
  11. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, including acting as a liaison with the development team.
  12. Other duties as assigned to support our scalable growth.


Experience/Skills: The successful candidate brings:

  1. 5-7 years of experience in Property and Casualty insurance industry software support, implementation, customer management, and/or strategic consulting.
  2. 7+ years of Business Analyst work experience, including requirements gathering, workflow and process design.
  3. Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with a keen ability to tailor crisp messaging based on audience demographic; Strong ability to facilitate group dialogues effectively.
  4. Expert level experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Visio.
  5. Strong familiarity with innovative business analysis and software development methodologies and tools; Experience with JIRA, TFS is a plus.
  6. Knowledge of SQL, Agile Methodology, Product Implementation, Migrations.
  7. Intellectual curiosity with excellent problem-solving skills; Ability to disaggregate complex problems into component parts, analyzing and presenting solutions crisply.
  8. Excellent listening skills, with an ability to listen for cues that impact internal and external outcomes.
  9. A track record of working collaboratively with other functional areas across the organization, including Sales, Development, Support, etc.; Team player.
  10. Experience working and thriving in a matrixed, results oriented, company culture.
  11. Ability to work independently with strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize.
  12. A passion for leading with integrity and delivering results.
  13. Insurance certifications are a plus, including CPCU, CBAP, ACE, etc.
