About the Role:

We are looking for a sharp, organized, and people-first HR Manager who can also wear the hat of Project Coordinator for our growing India-based tech team. You will be the operational backbone of SimpleRenovate’s implementation partner, managing everything from hiring and payroll compliance to sprint tracking and cross-timezone communication with US leadership. HR Responsibilities


Own end-to-end recruitment for all technical and non-technical roles job postings, screening, assessments, offer letters


Manage onboarding for all new hires documentation, system access, orientation, and first-week experience


Maintain employee records, contracts, leave tracking, and attendance


Process monthly payroll in coordination with the CA/accountant ensure accurate PF, TDS, and ESI deductions


Handle day-to-day employee relations — grievances, performance conversations, disciplinary processes


Ensure ongoing compliance with Indian labor laws Shops & Establishments Act, EPF, ESI, Gratuity Act


Coordinate annual performance review cycles and maintain appraisal documentation


Build and maintain a positive team culture across a remote/hybrid engineering team

Project Coordinator Responsibilities


Act as the primary point of contact between the India team and US leadership


Manage the daily standup schedule ensure all team members attend, blockers are captured, and follow-ups are assigned


Track sprint progress in Jira or Linear update task statuses, flag delays, and escalate risks early


Maintain the team’s sprint calendar, milestone tracker, and delivery timelines


Prepare weekly status reports for US leadership what was completed, what’s in progress, what’s blocked


Coordinate with developers, QA, and designers to ensure tasks move through the pipeline without bottlenecks


Schedule and document all cross-timezone meetings create agendas, take minutes, distribute action items


Manage team tools and access — Slack, GitHub, Jira, Figma, Google Workspace

What We’re Looking For


2–4 years of experience in HR, operations, or project coordination ideally in a tech or startup environment


Solid understanding of Indian labor law and payroll compliance (PF, TDS, ESI, Gratuity)


Hands-on experience with project management tools Jira, Linear, Trello, or similar


Excellent written and spoken English you will communicate daily with US-based leadership across time zones


Strong organizational skills you manage multiple things at once without dropping the ball


Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup where the job description evolves


Experience coordinating with remote or international teams is a strong plus


HR degree, MBA (HR), or equivalent practical experience preferred

Working Hours

  • 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM IST, Monday to Friday. Must be available for a daily standup overlap window with US leadership: approximately 8:30 - 10:00 PM IST (8:00 – 9:30 AM PST).
