JOB TITLE: HR Officer
POSITION REPORTS TO: Senior Manager - Human Resources, HQ

TIME COMMITMENT: Monday-Friday; 40 hr week
ROLE DESCRIPTION
ATEC exists to decarbonise cooking for all households across the Global South with our patented IoT eCook stoves. 4 billion people across Asia & Africa still lack access to modern cooking - generating 1 gigaton of emissions, more than the global airline industry. ATEC’s patented IoT technology means usage data is converted into 100% data-verified carbon credits - a global first for the sector. ATEC is now expanding across Asia & Africa - working with last-mile distributors and net-zero partners to decarbonise cooking at scale.
The HR Officer is responsible for supporting the effective delivery of human resource operations across ATEC, ensuring that people processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with the company’s goals. The HR Officer focuses on executing core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, performance support, and employee relations, while helping to build a positive and productive work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Posts vacancies and manages ATS
- Conducts initial CV screening
- Schedules and coordinates interviews
- Conducts longlisting of applications with the assistance of HRM
- Coordinates onboarding logistics (paperwork, system access, induction schedules)
- Updates Policies and relevant information on Trainual
- Tracks recruitment metrics
2.HR Administration & Compliance
- Maintains employee records and HRIS accuracy
- Tracks compliance deadlines and policy acknowledgements
- Supports audits and documentation requests
- In collaboration with HRM reviews and updates HR policies
3.Employee Engagement, Learning & Development
- Administers engagement surveys
- Coordinates training sessions and workshops
- Tracks participation and learning completion
- Manages recognition program logistics
- Collects feedback and prepares reports
4.Employee Relations
- Handles routine ER matters
- Documents cases and maintains records
- Supports investigation processes
- Escalates high-risk matters
5.Performance Management
- Administers performance review cycle
- Tracks completion rates
- Prepares documentation for PIPs
- Monitors deadlines and compliance
- Administers employee benefits processes
6.Global HR Initiatives & Projects
- Supports project coordination and documentation
- Assists with HR systems implementation logistics
- Tracks rollout milestones
- Supports communication of new policies and processes
Other duties as delegated by the line Manager.
SELECTION CRITERIA
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Google Workspace as well as MS Office suite
- At least 3 years’ experience running end-to-end HR functions (recruitment, onboarding, performance management) in a mission-driven or impact-focused organization.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
