Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Python Developer with 4 years of experience in backend development and SQL. The role involves developing scalable backend services, building APIs, and optimizing database performance. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced product environment and solving real-world engineering problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services for real-time data processing systems
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable Python code
• Design and optimize database schemas and queries (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or Django
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps teams for feature development
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend performance issues
• Follow coding standards, best practices, and version control processes
• Contribute to system scalability and reliability improvements

Required Skills & Experience

• 4 years of hands-on experience in Python backend development
• Strong understanding of Python, OOP, and data structures
• Good experience with SQL (queries, joins, indexing basics)
• Experience working with REST APIs
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI / Flask / Django
• Understanding of software development best practices
• Experience with Git and basic CI/CD workflows
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Good to Have

• Exposure to AWS or any cloud platform
• Basic knowledge of Docker or containerization
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Familiarity with async programming or background jobs (Celery, etc.)
• Exposure to real-time or data-intensive systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
