Roles & Responsibilities

Manual Testing

• Analyze business and functional requirements to understand application workflows and testing scope
• Prepare detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test plans
• Perform functional, regression, integration, usability, and system testing
• Execute manual test cases and validate application functionality across different modules
• Identify defects, inconsistencies, and application issues during testing cycles
• Coordinate with developers and stakeholders for defect resolution and retesting
• Prepare testing reports and maintain proper QA documentation

Automation Testing

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using:
  • Selenium WebDriver with Java
  • OR Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript
• Build reusable and scalable automation frameworks
• Execute automated test suites and analyze execution reports
• Improve automation coverage and reduce manual testing efforts

API & Database Testing

• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or Swagger
• Validate API requests, responses, status codes, and workflows
• Conduct backend/database validation using SQL queries
• Perform database testing and data integrity validation using SQL Server

Bug Tracking & Quality Assurance

• Log, track, prioritize, and verify defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or TFS
• Participate in defect triage and QA review discussions
• Ensure adherence to QA standards, testing processes, and release timelines
• Participate in requirement analysis and design review meetings

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders
• Interact with internal teams/clients to understand product requirements
• Provide testing updates, reports, and quality metrics
• Suggest improvements in testing processes and quality standards

Required Skills

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Strong experience in both Manual and Automation Testing
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Selenium WebDriver with Java
  • OR Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience in:
  • API Testing
  • Database Testing
  • Black Box Testing
  • White Box Testing
  • Functional Testing
  • Regression Testing
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience with SQL Server
• Understanding of STLC, SDLC, and QA methodologies
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to enterprise/product-based applications
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Understanding of automation frameworks and CI/CD concepts
• Knowledge of browser debugging tools and web technologies

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology
  • Or related technical field
