The Company is a globally recognized consumer brand, founded in 1978 and headquartered in Canada. We sell through leading retailers and major e-commerce platforms in North America, the UK, and Australia, and are expanding into China, the EU, and India. Key Responsibilities

General Accounting:

1. Oversee the preparation and posting of journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly/annual closing.
2. Manage accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
3. Prepare and analyse financial statements in compliance with IFRS/US GAAP/local GAAP.
4. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
5. Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.

Payroll (Global)

1. Manage end-to-end payroll processing across multiple geographies.
2. Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
3. Work with HR, finance, and external payroll providers to ensure timely and accurate payroll.
4. Handle reconciliations for payroll accounts, benefits, and employee reimbursements.
5. Address payroll-related queries and discrepancies globally.
6. Compliance & Reporting:
7. Ensure adherence to international accounting standards and country-specific payroll laws.
8. Support tax filings, social security contributions, and other statutory requirements.
9. Prepare financial and payroll reports for management and regulatory bodies.
10. Maintain accurate documentation for audits and compliance reviews.

Key Skills & Competencies:

1. Strong knowledge of global payroll systems (ADP, SAP, Workday, Oracle, or equivalent).
2. Solid understanding of IFRS/US GAAP and multi-country accounting practices.
3. Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills.
4. Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to work across time zones and collaborate with global teams.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s/master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Professional certifications like CA, CPA, CMA, or ACCA (preferred).
3. 8–12 years of experience in general accounting and payroll, with at least 3+ years in a global payroll role.
