Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer who brings a strong automation mindset and solid coding skills. This role goes beyond writing test scripts — you will help define automation strategy, improve test coverage, and work closely with developers and product teams to ensure stable, high-quality releases across web and API-based systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for web and API testing.
2. Write clean, reusable automation scripts using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
3. Apply automation best practices including Page Object Model, BDD/TDD, and test pyramid concepts.
4. Perform API automation testing and validate backend integrations.
5. Execute database validations and ensure data accuracy across systems.
6. Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
7. Review test results, analyze failures, and work with developers to resolve issues quickly.
8. Continuously improve automation coverage, stability, and execution time.
9. Mentor junior QA engineers and support team-wide quality improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

1. 5–8 years of experience in QA Automation.
2. Strong hands-on experience with automation tools (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
3. Good programming knowledge in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or C#.
4. Experience with REST API testing and backend validation.
5. Familiarity with BDD tools like Cucumber, SpecFlow, or similar.
6. Understanding of CI/CD concepts and test execution in pipelines.
7. Solid grasp of QA fundamentals, defect lifecycle, and testing methodologies.
8. Strong analytical thinking and debugging skills.
9. Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Nice to Have

1. Exposure to Docker, cloud environments, or AWS-based testing.
2. Experience with performance testing or security testing basics.
3. Prior experience working in agile, fast-paced delivery environments.
