Position Responsibilities

1. Tasks can include but are not limited to:

• Always ON, Replication, Log shipping, clustering, backups and recovery, audit reporting, SSRS, TDE, Performance tuning as well as proactive environment health checks
• TSQL, Query tuning, SQL Profiler, Execution Plan, Wait statistics
• Disk space check, fragmentation, blocking, deadlock

2. Oversee and implement SQL Server based projects:

• Upgrades, migrations, refreshes, cloud implementations

3. Responsible for providing all aspects of SQL Server Database administration support.

4. Support and follow the P0 and P1 escalation process

5. Support and follow the security management program and policy

6. Provide customer health checks as required

7. Take on New Technologies as the Company requires

Requirements

Essential Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• 7- 8+ years of direct hands on DBA of SQL Server database
• Expertise in all major versions of SQL Server technology stack
• Strong communication skills are an absolute must for this position
• Strong English speaking and writing skills are required
• Strong skills in the use of Microsoft products: MS Word, Excel, and Outlook are required
• Experience and ability to follow but also develop and write operational documentation is required
