What career path have you taken, from Analyst at GlobalLogic India to becoming an Aws Cloud Engineer at TCS to becoming a Senior Cloud Engineer at HCLTech?

My professional career began as an analyst at Global Logic, where I spent two years working on Google projects. In order to stay abreast of cloud technology, I enrolled in AWS cloud training and started searching for jobs. Within 20 days, Crown Solutions India Pvt Ltd contacted me for an interview at TCS, where I was eventually selected to work as a Cloud Engineer. Then, I moved to an MNC and received three job offers before eventually joining HCL as a Senior Cloud Engineer.

How has your unique background prepared you for success in the industry?

I have a background in Computer Engineering, so no matter what technology I am working with, I am always eager to learn and work with it.

What steps do you take to keep yourself updated on evolving trends in the technical field?

It is important for me to stay up-to-date with technology trends, so I follow LinkedIn, update my skills on Naukri.com, and discover new videos on YouTube.

Which certification do you hold, and which skill development paths, books, or channels do you recommend for upskilling aspiring professionals?

For AWS Cloud Solutions Architect level preparation, I have earned a variety of certifications from Udemy, Amcat, and workshops.

What are your technical certifications and how do they make you eligible for this job?

Currently, I hold a Solutions Architect Associate certification and plan to obtain a Terraform Associate certification very soon.

Where did you undergo your technical training?

In addition to my technical training from Jaipur, Udemy, and YouTube helped me to get trained for free on cloud computing from their YouTube channels.

What does a day in your work life look like?

The day-to-day work includes attending team standups on weekdays, sprint planning for the PBIs every 2nd Thursday, and reviewing our PBI work with the director every 2nd Friday.

What types of career opportunities are available in the field of IoT & Cloud? What is the hiring process in HCL?

It has a wide range of career opportunities in IoT and clouds, where the selection process consists of 2-3 rounds of technical discussion, followed by HR interviews. If we talk about the types of roles, then candidates can choose to pursue roles such as DevOps level, DevSecOps level, or cloud developer.

It was a difficult process for me to reach this position, so I would like to give one piece of advice to all are aspirants. Even I didn’t know what Terraform IaC was for creating infrastructure for any web applications. Since there was no one to teach me, I learned to work on TCS’s live project on my own in 2-3 months.
