Role Overview
The CMO – Digital Marketing is a senior leadership position responsible for driving the organization’s complete marketing vision, brand strategy, digital transformation, demand generation, and revenue growth. This role oversees all digital and traditional marketing functions and works closely with the CEO/Board to position the company as a market leader.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute full-funnel marketing strategy aligned with business goals.
- Lead digital transformation and build data-driven marketing systems.
- Oversee brand positioning, market expansion, and product marketing.
2. Digital Marketing & Growth
- Lead performance marketing (Google Ads, Meta Ads, Programmatic).
- Oversee SEO, SEM, social media, and content marketing strategy.
- Deliver measurable growth in traffic, leads, conversions, and ROI.
- Manage omnichannel campaigns (web, mobile, social, OTT, influencer).
3. Revenue & P&L Ownership
- Drive revenue targets through digital demand generation.
- Optimize Cost Per Lead (CPL) and Cost Per Acquisition (CPA).
- Manage multi-crore digital budgets ensuring profitable returns.
4. Brand & Communication
- Build brand visibility, credibility, and customer trust.
- Oversee creative communication, PR, and online reputation management.
- Launch brand campaigns, digital video strategies, and influencer programs.
5. Analytics & Technology
- Drive marketing automation (CRM, CDP, email workflows, AI tools).
- Implement data-led dashboards for performance tracking.
- Use analytics for forecasting, market insights, and funnel optimization.
6. Team & Agency Leadership
- Lead and mentor a 20–100+ member marketing team.
- Manage external agencies for digital, creative, SEO, media buying, PR.
- Build an agile, high-performance marketing culture.
Required Experience (15+ Years)
- Proven experience as Head of Digital / VP Marketing / CMO.
- Large-scale digital marketing leadership with multinational or high-growth organizations.
- Expertise across SEO, performance marketing, brand, analytics, automation, and content.
- Strong P&L understanding, budgeting, forecasting, and ROI optimization.
- Experience in scaling digital revenue and managing large teams.
