Our client, a leading IT solutions company with a strong presence in the domestic market, is looking for an experienced Sales Head to spearhead their Government and PSU business vertical. The ideal candidate must have a solid track record of driving large-scale IT solution sales and building long-term strategic relationships within the public sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the Government and PSU vertical to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
- Build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders across ministries, departments, and public sector enterprises.
- Drive large deal closures in IT services, cloud solutions, and digital transformation projects.
- Oversee bid management, RFP responses, and end-to-end sales processes specific to government procurement.
- Collaborate with delivery and solution teams to ensure high client satisfaction and project success.
- Mentor and lead a dynamic sales team to expand the company’s footprint in the public sector.
Required Experience
- 20+ years of experience in IT sales, with mandatory exposure to Government and PSU clients.
- Proven ability to secure and manage multi-crore IT contracts.
- Deep understanding of government tendering, e-procurement, and compliance processes.
- Strong industry network and ability to engage at CXO/decision-maker levels.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
